1. Overview
UptimeRobot Live Monitor is a Chrome extension designed to help developers, webmasters and technical users monitor the availability and performance of their websites and servers directly from their browser.
The extension communicates directly with the official UptimeRobot API to retrieve monitoring diagnostics, such as monitor status (UP/DOWN), response time in milliseconds, HTTP status, keyword verification, and incident logs.
2. Information processed by the extension
To provide its monitoring features, the extension may process technical information associated with your configured monitors, including:
- The user's UptimeRobot API key (entered voluntarily by the user, 'Read-Only' recommended).
- Monitor names, target URLs and hostnames configured in your UptimeRobot account.
- Monitor status codes (UP, DOWN, PAUSED) and HTTP response status.
- Response times (latencies in milliseconds) and 24h uptime ratios.
- HTML keyword presence and check results.
- Recent incident event logs and resolution durations.
- User interface preferences such as language, theme and font size.
The extension does not access your browsing history, cookies, personal credentials, or websites visited outside of your explicitly monitored endpoints.
3. Local processing and storage
All monitoring diagnostics are processed within the extension and its browser context. The extension does not send monitor diagnostics, API keys or website data to a Kreo-operated analytics or telemetry server.
User preferences (such as language, visual theme and font size) and the user's API key are stored locally using Chrome's extension storage facilities (chrome.storage.local) so that the interface can retain those settings across sessions.
The extension does not require an external account with Kreo, does not require registration, and does not maintain a remote user profile.
4. External services
To retrieve live uptime and latency data, the extension connects directly to the official UptimeRobot API. When active, requests are made exclusively to:
api.uptimerobot.comUsed to fetch real-time monitor status, response times, and incident logs associated with the user's API key over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
5. Tracking and advertising
The extension does not contain advertising, behavioral tracking, cross-site profiling, or an analytics system designed to monitor users' browsing activity.
Kreo does not sell the information processed by the extension and does not use it to create advertising profiles.
6. Data retention
Kreo does not maintain a remote database of the uptime diagnostics or monitoring activity observed by the extension.
Information displayed by the extension is used for the active monitoring session and for the features explicitly requested by the user. Interface preferences and API keys remain stored locally until they are changed or removed through the browser's extension storage mechanisms.
7. Data sharing
Kreo does not share captured monitoring or diagnostic data with advertisers, data brokers or analytics providers.
The only external transmissions performed by the extension are the feature-specific requests described in Section 4, specifically communicating directly with the official UptimeRobot API to retrieve the user's monitoring data.
8. Security
The extension is designed to minimize remote data handling. All communications with the UptimeRobot API are conducted over TLS-encrypted HTTPS connections.
No system can guarantee absolute security, but the extension does not maintain a Kreo-side repository of users' API keys, monitor endpoints, or diagnostic data.
9. Children's privacy
The extension is a technical developer tool and is not directed specifically at children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children through a Kreo-operated backend.
10. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the extension's functionality, data practices or external services change. The effective date shown at the top of this page will be updated when a new version of the policy is published.

12. Chrome Web Store Limited Use
UptimeRobot Live Monitor uses access to network endpoints only to provide the extension's clearly stated monitoring and diagnostic functionality.
Data is not used or transferred for advertising, creditworthiness, lending, insurance, personalized pricing, or any purpose unrelated to the extension's user-facing technical features.
